Well, if the monsoons had any say in the matter, it would have been the latter. I left for the airport on Thursday night, July 10th, fully planning on arriving in Miami by 12 Noon the following day. Turns out that weather was so bad in Phoenix, that the plane never took off the ground, and we had no plane to take us to Las Vegas. Re-booked my flight so that I could come back the next morning to try it again. Went home, slept in my own bed, then got a ride back to the airport. This time, we got on the plane, but they had to cancel the flight due to some problem with the cargo hold. I was starting to freak because my GALA outfit was in the gate checked bag that was in the cargo hold. Fortunately, I was able to grab my bag on the way back to the ticketing area. I tried to see if they could book me on United out of Ontario, but that flight was full. They did, however, get me on a plane to Vegas that met up in Denver for that same flight. Once I got in Denver, I found a bunch of people from my chorus who were taking that flight. I ended up getting an "improved" seat on the flight, and Alan, Joel, and baby Esteban were seated right behind me. We were in the "Economy Plus" section. Very cool. Got to Miami around 1230 in the morning, and took a taxi back to my hotel, the Marriott Biscayne Bay. Was glad to get to my room, where I unpacked and got ready for bed. I was exhausted!
