Ugh...

This heat is starting to get to me. Usually it's not so bad in the house, but the swamp cooler isn't doing much for making it comfortable inside. I've had a headache the past three weekends. I was going to go to the ballet yesterday, but got a headache and then the thought of finding parking and dealing with the actual heat outside really turned me off to the idea. My chorus was going to hang out on La Plaza with the celebration of marriage thing going on, but I didn't go because I just didn't want to deal with all these happy couples with their happy lives and crap. Yeah, give us the right to marry, but I just ain't there yet. And all the idiots who are going to protest by getting a hate legislation on the ballot in November is going to suck. That stupid "Defense of Marriage Act" passed in California last time, so who know what will happen this time. I hate to say it, but it really comes down to religion. You take the religious question out of it, and there is no logical reason why marriage can't be for gays. But because some people choose to misinterpret some biblical passages, they feel they have the right to discriminate and hate. Nice....

Nothin' new

Just checking in, not much to report. Rehearsal went well on Tuesday, we had Joel Baker filling in for Bruce who is out of town. Joel is a cute enough guy, plays piano at Vallauris.

I got a complement from Alan; Jay kept singing "belly swap" instead of "baby swap" in Drama Queen. Alan said, "oh, it were only that easy.." He went on to add that he wouldn't mind swapping his for Bryan, Greg, or Oleg's. That was nice. Went to the gym Friday, had another good workout. Now that I increase my speed on the treadmill, I get a good, sweaty workout. I took my shower afterwards, and got an eyeful from a cute Latino guy. Tall, lean, and packing plenty. He seemed to be shy, choosing to undress right at the shower stall. I can only imagine he causes such a commotion if he undresses in front of others. Must get old after awhile.
I woke up with a stiff back yesterday, trying to get rid of it. I finally took a pain pill just before leaving for Lowe's & Home Depot. I was floating about halfway thru Lowe's. Had a couple of offers on A4A, but can't do anything with my back like this. It is feeling better today, however.
